Fantastic experience at Baladi tonight. The food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely return. Despite strong reviews, I noticed some negative ones. I can wholeheartedly say that those reviews were unfounded. The portion sizes and quality of the food reflected the price. Our server was extremely helpful with her recommendations and did not come across as pushy as some suggested. Really unique opportunity to try some Lebanese wines as well, which we enjoyed. Overall, a really excellent experience with some of the best chicken shawarma i have ever had.

The reviews looked good so we decided to give it a go and we are so glad we did! This was the best meal I've had on my trip to Belgium, it was my mum's first time eating Syrian cuisine and she loved it. Definitely worth a visit! I had the mixed plate with fried cauliflower and chicken, my mum had the lamb sausage and I can recommend them all! I also really enjoyed the homemade lemonade.

Horrible experience. I called to reserve a table an to discuss my allergy to seed oils. The employee told me that it wasn’t a problem. I could order what I’d want and they would customize it for me (= prepare it with the kind of oil I’d want). Tonight was the night: I’ve ordered batata hara and asked if they could prepare it with olive oil. The employee said (in a very unfriendly way!) it wasn’t possible and that it had to be prepared with sunflower oil! I was shocked. He made it my problem and didn’t try to help one bit! Never again. I definitely don’t recommend this restaurant!

Highly recommend! The food is more than delicious and the reastaurant is cozy. I would come back! Be sure to make a reservation. We recommend the Chef’s plate and the wraps. For drinks try some lemonade (Dora). The service was a bit poor because of the waiter who was not kind nor friendly nor welcoming - in the end we hesitated to order more to avoid the negativity. The waitresses downstairs, however, were super polite and kind. We will be back!

Enjoyed the dinner here. We ordered pretty much all the available vegetarian items as there were not many options to choose from. The food was great. Unfortunately we had to sit outside since there were no table. Make your reservations.
