Very beautiful park to walk around, it even has a restaurant in the middle of it on a small island. Ideal for a great walk!
Great green space to escape the city a bit. Took the bus there and walked around a bit and even grabbed a great bite to eat for lunch inside the park.
As a regular user of this park I find it very run down and in some areas it is more like a public rubish dump. Be aware of the fact that there are several people living in the park in tents or more permanent wood huts that they have constructed. One of the huts which right is next to where the ponys stables are has been there for more than 5+ years and is so well constructed it even has a fenced off area and bikes parked outside it. This morning I noticed someone had moved into the play house in the childrens play area scattering all their belongings over the benches. You could actually hear the guy snoring. As a dog walker or someone cycling with your children be aware that the police prioritise confronting (yesterday with no less than 3 undercover officers) people who might not have their dog leashed or if you cycle in the park and they decide to tell you to not go to fast even when you are not. Both has happened to me and my family. There are no signs telling you that your dog needs to be leashed either, nor are the rules if the park available anywhere. Meanwhile people are living illegally in the park for years. The park is not welcoming and unfortunately the police presence and lack of focus on the right priorities are ruining what could be a wonderful place. As a neighbour to the park I am really sad about having to make this review but someone has to tell the truth about Bois de la Cambre.
A spacious and peaceful park. There’s plenty of room to walk, sit, and enjoy the calm atmosphere. A great place to unwind.
Bois de la Cambre – Brussels, Belgium 🌳🇧🇪 Visited this beautiful and lush green park in 2019 with my family, and it was truly a peaceful escape in the heart of Brussels. Bois de la Cambre is spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing, walking, or enjoying a picnic with loved ones. The natural beauty, fresh air, and quiet surroundings make it a wonderful spot for families and nature lovers. We enjoyed walking around the lake and watching people cycling and boating — it was a calm and refreshing experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Brussels. A perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature!
