Lucky i made reservation in prior, because it was pretty packed even during lunch time. The front man (which i assumed is one of the high rank staffs or even the owner) was really nice. He greeted me and my wife so nicely and swifly directed us to the guy who in charge in seating areas. The service was pretty fast, so we were not waiting for long time for the food we ordered. We ordered their signature mussels inside the pan, and the other one with cheese and garlic on top (i forgot the name.) Both of dishes came with small bucket of fries. They were all tasted good and served fresh. I’ve read a lot of complaints regarding the behaviour of the staffs in this establishment in Google. As for me, some of them were really nice, and very a few yes i must admit were quite rude by giving me unpleasant treatment. But fortunately, the good experience can really overshadow the negative ones. Though i really hope, one day they all will thoroughly be nice to any customers. Keep up the good works, fellas.

Iconic restaurant for Moule in Brussels. Food quality is high, just too much butter in my opinion, beers can be improved. Atmosphere is lovely. The building as well. Just a bit too slow the service, we waited 45' for classic moules .

I expected much better from one of Brussels’ most famous mussel restaurants. I ordered the mussels in white wine (€30) and specifically asked for no celery. The waiter confirmed my request, but the dish still arrived with plenty of celery. The mussels also contained far too much sand. I understand a little grit can happen, but this was excessive. The white wine broth was bland and watery, with barely any wine flavor. The beer was excellent, but unfortunately that was the highlight of the meal. The service also felt unfriendly and indifferent, which didn’t help the overall experience. For the price and reputation, I expected much better attention to detail and much better food quality. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype.

A lovely restaurant with a long history and very reasonable prices. We discovered it while wandering through Brussels and were pleasantly surprised by both the food and the warm hospitality. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and treated every guest with kindness. There was no pressure to leave a tip or spend more, which made the experience even more comfortable. I highly recommend the 500g mussels, beer, and fries set — it was a great value. The pasta paired perfectly with it and was also delicious. The indoor dining area is charming and cozy, with a cute decor that adds to the overall atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited this place twice during our stay, and both experiences were very positive. On our first visit, our waiter occasionally spoke a few Turkish words, which made us feel very welcome. He even offered me a beer free of charge, a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated. When we returned the following day, we were served by another waiter who was equally friendly and professional. The service on both occasions was excellent. The food was generally good. I ordered the meatballs, but they were not quite as good as I had expected, as I have had better ones before. My husband tried the beer-braised meat dish, and he really enjoyed it. The portion size was also very generous. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend this place for its friendly atmosphere and great service.
