Choco story is a fun interactive chocolate museum where your audio guide takes you round and explains the history of chocolate and how it's made. It's really interesting to learn some of the fun facts about chocolate, like how the beans were used as a currency, and it really makes you appreciate it. There were plenty of free samples along the way, and you can even see a Chocolatier live at work! Only downside is that it's a little bit too long, and it can also be difficult to find the next number for your audio guide to play. Overall, a really nice experience!
It has potential, but unfortunately, most of the museum is just an audio-guide based museum. The last quarter of it is interesting, and the museum should start where it ends. Practical intro to chocolate making, tasting, processing, molds, etc. It is not for children, they will be very bored.
Loved it! Our workshop lead Eline was amazing!! Super helpful The museum was good but the audio Bluetooth device was a bit fidgety. I liked that there was seating in between and the film element was great!
Really good small museum explaining the history and origin of cocoa beans and how chocolate evolved over time. Not many samples provided, but the storytelling is clear and engaging. A great one-time visit if you’re curious about cocoa history. Very nicely located near the city center.
The Choco Story has an interesting concept and a lot of potential, but unfortunately the visit itself felt rather underwhelming. For adults, the exhibition is only moderately engaging, and for children it may be difficult to keep their attention throughout the tour. The visit is based mainly on an audio guide that explains the exhibits in the museum. While informative, the experience feels quite passive. The praline-making demonstration at the end is a nice addition, although it is very short and similar content can easily be found online. Personally, the most interesting part for me was the collection of antique chocolate pots, which was a lovely and unique touch. Considering the price, the overall experience could benefit from more visual elements and interactive features, especially for children. Combining hands-on activities with the existing displays would make the museum much more engaging and memorable. I believe the Choco Story has great potential, and with a few improvements it could become a truly enjoyable experience. For now, it is simply better to spend the entrance fee on something truly delicious as buying pralines in the city and enjoying them :)
