I booked a superior double room for one night. As someone working in hospitality and living in Paris, I found the room to be very spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Everything you need is provided, making the stay efficient and easy. However, the experience was not particularly personalized or exceptional. There were no welcome drinks or special gestures, though the staff was very kind and professional during both check-in and check-out. It is also convenient that luggage storage is available. The neighborhood is not the most appealing, but the location is quite strategic especially if you are arriving by train. The hotel is just a 4-minute walk from the station and about 20 minutes on foot from the city center. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a quick and convenient stay. It is clean, functional, and has everything you need just don’t expect a particularly memorable or luxurious experience.

I booked here because the hotel I normally stay at was full....and now I understand why this one wasn't. The rooms were OK, but my non-smoking room smelled like smoke and the cleaning woman had left allthe windows open to air it out...when it was 38•C outside. 🤦‍♀️. The employees I interacted with were all blasé, not motivated to be friendly or helpful. The area felt very dangerous as a solo female traveler, especially at night. There is a small gym, but for some reason it only opens at 7am, which is not early enough for working professionals. There is no reason it can't be open earlier either, as it is in the basement and not near any guest rooms. This leaves only the option of working out in one's room, which is not great for the guests below... There are also no towels in the gym, nor and cups for water "for sustainability reasons", but really that just feels cheap. Also no hand weights available under 6kg. Breakfast was also not great, only a little better than what you would get an Ibis and I've never met a ruder person than the woman checking guests in for the breakfast. I will definitely not return, this is my lesson to book the hotel I normally stay at further in advance (the Radisson Blu in case it helps anyone).

Avoid booking this hotel --- The hotel should have clearly mentioned the major ongoing road construction directly in front of the property. Construction barriers, portable toilets, blocked walkways, heavy roadworks, and constant construction noise are facing the main entrance, yet none of this is properly reflected in the hotel’s photos or booking information. While the hotel advertises itself as being close to the station, actually walking there with luggage feels extremely difficult, especially for women, elderly travellers, children, or anyone needing accessible access. It feels misleading that the hotel continues using older promotional photos without properly informing guests about the current conditions. Hotels cannot simply pretend operations continue as normal when there is such a major level of inconvenience affecting guests’ daily access and overall experience. Considering the level of disruption, guests should have been clearly warned before booking rather than discovering it upon arrival. The surrounding area also felt messy, dirty, and poorly maintained during the stay, with garbage visible in parts of the streets and an overall uncomfortable atmosphere around the station area late at night. There were also people loitering around the area which made the environment feel less safe and welcoming for travellers unfamiliar with the city. The scale of the construction has significantly damaged the atmosphere and overall experience of the neighbourhood. While the responsibility may largely belong to municipal planning and infrastructure management rather than the hotel itself, hotel guests unfortunately still suffer the consequences without being properly informed in advance. For travellers expecting a pleasant holiday environment, especially after paying premium European hotel prices, this situation can seriously affect the overall experience and enjoyment of the trip. As visitors, this part of Brussels felt very disconnected from the more pleasant and attractive areas shown in tourism promotions. The overall experience did not match expectations based on the hotel listing or the image many people have of Brussels. My personal recommendation would be to avoid staying at this hotel until the surrounding construction and roadwork situation is significantly improved. Based on the scale of the ongoing infrastructure works, it may realistically take several years before the area becomes comfortable and visitor-friendly again, if that ever happens.

The rooms are big and newly refurbished. But the staff could do better in welcoming guests. there are no welcome packs or drinks/snacks for Gold members, the construction in front of the hotel made access difficult, the bathroom lights are too dim, and the shower was weak. I wouldn't return here; there are many better hotels in the Accor group alone in the Midi area.

It’s not a pretty exterior and the location is ugly with work going on all round. But inside everything went well and the location is great for Gare du Midi. And the staff were Weldon’s helpful with storing our bikes and luggage.
