The hotel is not a “typical” hotel. We had overall a good stay, but there were lots of small things that eventually built up. It is mixed with meeting spaces, gym, art gallery, food court and a hotel? Definitely the strengths of the hotel is its surroundings and the gym+ wellness area. -What we found very unfortunate is that we need to make our way through the hotel lobby (where meeting spaces are and restaurants and check in) in order to make it to the spa. -As well as during our stay we were asked for a deposit of 200eur even though we stay for like 2 days? - Would have been nice if the staff or anyone beforehand had mentioned that during our stay there would be an art exhibition and the hotel would be FULL of people which resulted in us having less rest and us given a room we were not expecting, because all the rooms were booked for an art exhibition? Odd. -The hotel first told us we had breakfast included then not, then fixed the problem. But it made us feel like we are in the wrong. - There is parking on the grounds but ONLY paid? Not even for hotel guests or gym members any discount or offers. -We liked that we could see the art exhibition. It was fun. -It was nice that they fixed their breakfast mixup mistake and offered us 2 free drinks for the inconvenience of the art exhibition. -The wellness is WELL equipped with good amount of saunas and pools. -The gym as well is WELL equipped with a fully performance focused gym. I honestly loved the gym. Overall a good stay, if service gets better and the whole vibes less confusing I might repeat but for now I am not planning on repeating our stay.
Overall, we had a pleasant and delightful stay as a couple. The hotel’s location is truly enjoyable, especially on sunny days, with plenty of beautiful green areas surrounding the property. We especially appreciated the large gym and wellness facilities (sauna, hammam, pool, etc.). Since wellness and taking care of both mind and body are important to us, this was clearly one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. That said, there are still a few areas for improvement that would make the experience truly exceptional: - The check-in process was a bit surprising: a €200 credit card deposit was blocked and we were informed it could take up to two months to be reimbursed. We travel quite frequently and had never encountered such a long timeline before. In addition, the interaction at reception felt somewhat robotic and rather brief. - The shower water pressure was slightly weak. - On the second day, there was an unpleasant smell in our room. We are unsure of the cause, but we mentioned it to reception during check-out. - The room cleanliness could also be improved. Despite these points, we still enjoyed our stay overall and appreciated the hotel’s unique atmosphere and wellness-oriented concept.
Soon it will be one year since I joined Mix Gym and Wellness, and it has been a great experience so far. I try to go whenever I feel like working out or simply relaxing in the sauna, and it has become an important part of my routine. I usually visit in early mornings and avoid weekends, which works perfectly for me. At that time, I almost always have access to the equipment I want to use, as well as the sauna and salt room, without any waiting. So far, I am very happy with the services offered and the facilities provided. Living close by makes it even better, as it is extremely convenient and easy to access. Overall, I am very satisfied with my membership and the experience I’ve had here so far.
The hotel itself has a very nice spa and wellness area, which is definitely one of its biggest strengths. The facilities are well maintained and we enjoyed spending time there. Unfortunately, our overall experience was negatively affected by the poor communication and service. This was a special birthday trip for my partner. Two weeks before our arrival, I arranged with the reception that a small birthday surprise would be prepared in the room (a welcome drink and a card). Nothing was prepared upon arrival. I reported the issue both at the reception and by phone. However, I did not receive any response until the day of our departure. The only solution offered was a bottle of champagne for €40 to be delivered to the room, which was no longer relevant at that point. What was particularly disappointing was that nobody apologized or attempted to explain what had happened. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication, follow-up and customer care was disappointing and unfortunately had a negative impact on our stay.
Nice and cozy rooms, with interesting design and architectural features throughout the entire building. It's worth paying a little extra for the biggest room category, which was comfortable also for three people. In our case it was only equipped for two (towels, bathrobes, etc.), despite explicitly booking for three, but this could quickly be resolved. Staff was not particularly proactive, but was friendly when asked for help. Mix is not too far away from Brussel's city centre and therefore also reachable by public transport. The building hosts many different activities and spaces, such as a co-working space, gym and spa, and food court. So it always feels busy, but it is not too hectic or overcrowded. It's actually a nice vibe. The spa and swimming pool area is modern and spacious, but be aware that it is also being used by members of the in-house gym and can get quite busy at times. Additionally, during courses such as aqua aerobics, it will get quite loud. Unfortunately, the bar within the spa had very limited opening hours. To get a coffee or a refreshing drink you will mostly need to leave the spa and look for another option within the building. Breakfast was rich and delicious. More plant-based options would be an asset. Conveniently, for lunch and/or dinner one can visit the in-house food court, which again tends to be quite busy but offers many different and good options. All in all, a great choice for those who are looking for a more vibrant kind of retreat in a lively and inspiring setting.
