Reviews
This hotel was just right for our needs. We arrived from Bruges by train and were heading to the airport the next morning, so it was a convenient stopover. The train station is just five minutes away. The room was clean and very functional, and the bathroom was well maintained. The staff at check-in were warm and welcoming, making the arrival smooth and pleasant. We got a very quiet room which was very convenient. We also appreciated the water dispensing facility at the entrance—it’s an environmentally friendly touch that we found very thoughtful.
I came to Belgium for a short city break and wanted a hotel in a central location with everything within easy reach. I definitely made the right choice. The train station was just a 3-minute walk from the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to explore Brussels. The hotel itself was modern, clean and very well maintained. I also opted for the breakfast, which cost an additional €24 as it wasn’t included with my room, and it was well worth it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always happy to help with anything I needed. With the unusually hot weather across Western Europe, they even offered complimentary bottled water, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated. Overall, I had an excellent stay. Novotel exceeded my expectations, and I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Brussels.
Our 12-day trip across Europe was truly memorable, and we stayed at several Novotel hotels along the way. However, our favorite experience was at the Novotel Brussels Centre Midi Station near Brussels Midi/Zuid Station in Belgium. From the warm welcome at reception to the smooth and efficient checkout process, the entire staff made us feel comfortable and valued throughout our stay. Their professionalism and hospitality were exceptional. What impressed us the most was their kindness on the day of our arrival. We reached Belgium very early in the morning and initially planned only to leave our luggage in the locker room. To our surprise, the receptionist arranged an early check-in for us, which was incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated after a long journey with my son. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety and high-quality food at the morning. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so pleasant and memorable. Keep up the wonderful work! ❤️🥰
First of all, can I say a huge thank you to Sarah and Nicole at the front desk. On arrival they helped us with recommendations around Brussels for things to do, places to visit and even where to eat - they are such an asset and we appreciated them so much - thank you ladies! The hotel is located within walking distance of the Euro train terminal and Brussels Midi station. You can get to Ghent and Bruges from there too. The location of the hotel area is generally clean but there can be a few sore spots outside with some rough sleepers around too. Not a big problem overall tbh. The hotel is super clean, well run and has very friendly staff. All were helpful and room maids were also very friendly. I would stay again. Only issues was the room electrics some didn't work, phones didn't work so there is a WhatsApp number to use. Not all usb ports worked and the ac/heating was not working in room 207 for three nights and it got a little warm. We were not on the room long enough so I didn't have time to contact the hotel reception tbh. Rooms were clean and spacious and well attended to. I would stay here again.
한국인 분들은 인종차별적이고 무례한 대우를 받을 수 있으니 이 호텔은 피하시는 것을 추천합니다. Shocking lack of hospitality and clear differential treatment. My sister and I (the only visible East Asian guests in the lobby) were forced to wait hours for a room, watching multiple other groups check in ahead of us. When front desk staff Adrien finally checked us in at 2:45 PM claiming our room was "just ready," he immediately asked for our room preference, proving multiple clean rooms had been sitting vacant the entire time. To make matters worse, Sara and Adrien openly gossiped about us in French right in front of us, assuming we couldn't understand. The service gap continued when I called about the room being freezing. Sara said she would turn the heat up but didn't ask what temperature we needed, nor did she bother to follow up. Huge shoutout to the evening receptionist who had a completely different attitude. She actually came to our room with a space heater because the central heat was completely broken (something Sara didn't bother to mention or address). When I emailed management to ask how this behavior would be handled, I was hit with a completely generic, automated copy-paste reply. They clearly do not care about accountability or inclusivity. Avoid this property.
