I was in Brussels for a week in June and came here to eat twice! This place is not to be confused with the Romanian spot with the same name two doors down. I asked and they are different owners. I ate here during the heatwave...and man was it hot! There was no AC inside the restaurant, so I ate outside. The first time I came, I ate alone. I was seated immediately and ordered a sparkling water and the stew and potatoes. They brought out a tomato and goat cheese salad and bread before my meal (on the house). The salad was delectable! My one issue was that the water was kind of overpriced at 4 euro for a small bottle. The second time I came here, it was with 2 other people. Again, no wait time to eat.The food was delicious both times and the service was good too. Highly recommend this place!

Great, authentic Romanian food with good selection of soups, salads and main dishes. Service was very friendly and fast. Sanitary facilities very clean. Inside is quite tiny, outside a few more tables, but alley is not nice and quiet dirty with beggars crossing frequently to ask for money.

Wanted to try something different and came upon this wonderful Romanian restaurant. We did make a reservation because the first night it was full, but you could’ve walked in. Our dishes were fabulous and the portions were huge. We were brought warm bread with cheese, tomatoes, and onions in a bowl. Lovely flavors. Also, we had a bruschetta type appetizer. Would highly recommend this place. Even the water was from Romania! The waitress was so sweet!

I particular like the bread with tomatoes, the tomatoes were cut in small pieces. Just perfect. not very juicy but fresh enough with garlic and parsley. It is perfect for a starter. The chicken stew is also very nice with the smashed potatoes, although it is a little bit sour for me, I still like it

Hello my friends! today I’m taking you to a Romanian spot we visited for dinner today🇷🇴 Honestly I didn’t have high expectations for this place at all, we were just very hungry after a full day of touristing around the city… and we simply wanted some proper, comforting MEATY food 😌 When we got there I noticed that the place is REALLY well taken care of, the menu is neat the place is clean and has nice decorations! The whole atmosphere felt very authentic - traditional Romanian interior, with embroidered details, wooden furniture, cultural elements… 🦉 I ordered a chicken stew, and my boyfriend went for a beef stew 🍲 And of course… we had to try the classic Romanian beer Ursus 🍺 It was light, easy to drink and honestly really nice! Also service was VERY nice to us.. Yes, we did wait quite a bit for food…but they brought us a little starter - bread with feta cheese and tomatoes.. And then… when the food arrived I was literally on CLOUD NINE 🔥 The presentation alone made me happy everything looked so fresh and comforting🍱 There was mashed potatoes - soft, light, just PERFECT, fresh cabbage salad with cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers — simple, crunchy, no dressing… just clean flavors 🥗 And of course the stew - tender meat in a rich tomato sauce with mushrooms… Oh my good.. as someone from a Slavic background who travels a lot… I REALLY missed this kind of food.. Simple, fresh and homemade-style… the kind that feels like it hugs your soul 💔💔 I 💯 recommend this place Doesn’t matter if you love Romanian cuisine or not- this was just AMAZING And the location is also great — perfect area to go for a walk or do some shopping after .. For me… this place was just WOW…
