We had dinner here twice on our trip to Brussels and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, in an underground brick cellar with an arched ceiling. The tables are close together, but we did not feel crowded. Really everything we tried was very good. The stoem (stampot) with sausages was quite good, as was the rabbit, the vol au vent, and the meatballs. The fries were outstanding. They were very busy both nights, but our food came very quickly. One really nice feature of this restaurant is that they will bring you a carafe of tapwater for free. We really appreciated not having to pay €5 for a half liter of water like so many other places charge. The staff were very professional and pleasant. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Gorgeous terrace in a great location. Service was great. Shrimp appetizer was good. Mussels were a generous portion. I struggled to finish (not a common problem).

Great staff with good friendly banter. Food good. Probably needed to order an additional side of greens/salad. We had delicious cheese croquettes followed by the rabbit for me and pork ribs special for my hubby. Both came with fries. Great atmosphere sitting underground and a welcome reprieve from the rain. We’d go back.

I chose this place to eat at as it came recommended, but I was really disappointed. I ordered a beaf steak with mushroom sauce. The sauce was subpar, too greasy and rather bland. The cook on the steak wasnt bad. It came with a side of mash, which could definitely use some butter and spice. For some reason, they decided to bring me a serving of fries, too, which was a nice gesture, but redundant. It was hardly 22:00 when I ate there, and the staff had already started to eat their meal and clear off the tables, while there were at least three occupied tables. There was a radio station or some kind of music played in the background with some upbeat songs, which was definitely not the right choice for such a place, and at some point, the lyrics of the song were like SHIT SHIT SHIT... I mean, come on! Funnily, it was recommended for the ambiance, which literally didnt exist.

An authentic Belgian restaurant with excellent, delicious food and an open kitchen concept that adds to the experience. The dishes arrived surprisingly fast, and the service was very efficient. The place is clearly very popular and guests come and go quickly, so it’s worth arriving early if you want to get a table.
