Stayed 3 July for one night. Has potential including massive rooms and good location BUT the DIY renovations are crazy. We chose to laugh at the obvious flaws such as a shower hose so short it didn’t reach its shower position hook, so required sitting in the bath to use. Not sure what body the four star rating is issued by but this has no resemblance to any four star hotel I have ever stayed at,
Stay away There is absolutely nothing good to say about this hotel. It is definitely not 4-star standards. We booked two nights but couldn't stand staying more than one. The elevator was not working, the breakfast was terrible, the bar was out of order, the gym too, the toilet in our room was not working, and they refused to turn on the air condition despite a heatwave hitting the town. The latter forced us to check out after just one night even though we had prepaid for two. We requested a refund for the second night, but they refused.
Very disappointing stay at the Augustin. The room was a decent size but nothing worked. The a/c didn't work despite being reported 3 times to the front desk. The fridge didn't work at all. The Netflix & Youtube didn't work on the TV. The breakfast was OK but not 4* standard at all. We raised all these issues multiple times with the hotel but nothing was done to resolve them. The hotel is classed as 4* but it is someway short of this. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.
Could give 4 stars but I’m in a good mood. Positive: The staff was very friendly. Nice breakfast. Very warm rooms. Beautiful decoration in the room. Good lightning. Negative: The room was a bit small for two people.
From check in to check out it was a flawless pleasure. Staff were available but never intrusive, we felt able to come and go as we pleased at any time, and our luggage was stored until it was time to check in. Our room (upgraded at order) was spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. The hotel itself is situated midway between the Midi Zuid railway station and the Central tourist areas, perfect for visiting Brussels' best sites. Go here for a safe, pleasant stay close to amenities and sites of interest.
