I stayed at this hotel in May 2018, when it was known as Floris Ustel Midi Hotel, and I had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bed was excellent, and the breakfast was very good. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. Many of Brussels' popular tourist attractions are within walking distance, and the tram and metro stations are also just a short walk away, making it very convenient to explore the city. I recently discovered that the hotel has been renamed Urban Yard Hotel, and from the latest Google photos, it looks even more stylish and beautifully renovated. I have great memories of my stay and will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Brussels. Highly recommended.

This is not a hotel I would recommend if you are a solo traveler. The hotel itself is nice, and my room, while a bit small, was also pleasant. My biggest issue was the misleading marketing. Urban Yard claims to be close to major tourist sites, but in reality, it's quite far from everything Brussels has to offer. On top of that, it's located in a bad area of town, which made walking back and forth a real concern, especially after a day of shopping. I didn't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood at all, which was a major inconvenience and left me relying on Uber for every trip. The hotel also appeared to need a 24-hour security guard, which only added to my unease. What bothered me most, though, was that Urban Yard actively promotes itself as a great option for solo travelers, I couldn't disagree more. On two separate occasions it sounded as though someone was attempting to enter my room. I did not feel safe staying there.

Overall, we had a very good stay. Everything was very clean, which we really appreciated. The staff at the reception were polite and friendly. There was no kettle in the room at first, but we called the front desk and they brought one right away, which was great. The location is also convenient — close to Gare du Midi, and about a 20–25 minute walk to the city center.

Love the rooms. Enormous showers beautiful. Now, I am a strong independent woman. I know how to stay safe. Pleased I visited in May when sun sets at 21.31. However it meant I did not see Brussels at night. The area feels unsafe. Drug users, men being men, you know? Really disappointing. I contemplated moving hotels but stuck with it - mainly as non refundable. So would stay again but only if I had friends with me.

I would say one of the best experiences, the hotel staff so friendly -sorry my memory doesn’t help me with the names- super clean, and I forgot to ask about the room perfume that you use once we enter the reception it doesn’t go out of my nose till now? 😅 anyway good tidy experience! The area was ok for us.
